Apple accidentally leaks Beat Fit Pro on Airpods 3 launch day

Apple finally revealed the long-awaited AirPods 3 at an Apple Event earlier today (October 18), but the company made an unexpected blunder and accidentally leaked the Beats Fit Pro.

The Beats Fit Pro was first spotted by an Apple snooper at 9to5Mac. In an internal iOS 15.1 RC file, 9to5Mac found an image of the Beats Fit Pro that closely resembles the first generation Samsung Galaxy Buds from 2019.

Beyond the leaked image, 9to5Mac did not find any further information on its specs or features. However, sources tell the Apple-focused website that the Beats Fit Pro looks very similar to the affordable Beats Studio Buds from earlier this year; the Beats Fit Pro, at least according to 9to5Mac's sources, has active noise cancellation (ANC ), Apple's H1 chip for fast pairing, and Hey Siri support; the Beats Studio Buds have a rather large charging case given the earphones' small size, but the Beats Fit Pro appears to be more pocket-friendly.

The timing of this leak couldn't be worse, at least for Apple. All eyes are now on Apple's recent "Unleashed" event, where the company announced its new M1 Pro and M1 Max computer chips, a newly designed MacBook Pro with SD card slot and MagSafe charging, and AirPods 3. While it is atypical for Apple to leak the Beats Fit Pro in this manner, it will do little to dissuade buyers from canceling their reservations for the newly made AirPods 3.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to know exactly when the Beats Fit Pro will be officially announced. However, given that it is already within the iOS 15 code, it could come very soon. Still, with the holiday season fast approaching and many of the Black Friday deals already in place, Apple will probably act quickly.
