Walmart currently has PS5 restocking and Xbox Series X restocking. Tonight's Walmart PS5 restocking event began at 9 PM ET. They also have the Xbox Series X Halo Infinite in stock.
Tonight's restocking is scheduled to last one hour, with inventory updated every 10 minutes during the hour.
Walmart attempted to restock earlier today (September 23), but a Walmart spokesperson told Tom's Guide that the site experienced problems during restocking. Shoppers were faced with an error page and a page that showed the game console as "sold out." As a result, Walmart abandoned the restocking minutes after the event began. However, it has now been confirmed that restocking has been rescheduled for tonight. (Ongoing). Retailers have PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition in stock.
This week was not the best week for PS5 restocking retailers in general. Amazon and Sony Direct had disastrous restocks on Tuesday, but this Walmart debacle has taken things to a whole new level. It was one of the biggest restocking failures we've seen this year. [because] as we get closer to the holiday season, it's going to be harder and harder to find consoles. (Although, we expect to see a number of PS5-related deals on Black Friday, including games and accessories.)
First things first: create a Walmart.com account if you don't already have one. Enter your address and credit card information and you will be able to immediately check out when you purchase a game console. You'll also want to know the correct landing page to purchase the PS5 at Walmart (link above).
Once the console is on sale at Walmart, one must act with lightning speed to secure and purchase the console. It is worth noting, however, that Walmart tends to release inventory every 10 to 15 minutes. So if you don't get a console the first time, try again and again. Generally speaking, Walmart's restocking can last from one to three hours. So it pays to persist and keep trying.
Many people report that they were able to get a PS5 by adding it to their shopping list. To do this, sign into your Walmart account and go to Walmart's PS5 product page. Click on the "Add to List" icon below the image of the console. You will then be prompted to enter a name for your wish list.
The next time Walmart restocks the PS5, you should be able to use the wish list to add the console to your cart (instead of going to the product page and waiting for the inventory to appear). Again, this method may vary from person to person, but it has worked in the past.
