All we can hope for, however, is that Morty keeps it in his pants. After last week's visit to space, we discover that this kid is a piece of his old grandfather. The official synopsis for this episode reads, "Summer and Morty steal Rick's car to make a good impression on the new kids at school. Meanwhile, Rick and Jerry have a night from hell."
.
And while the first half of this sentence is open to interpretation, perhaps inspired by the George Lucas film American Graffiti, the second half of the sentence is a reference to "Rick Depends Spray" (the title of this episode was previewed at the end.)
In that preview, Rick and Jerry are in the garage with a bunch of occult items, and Rick tells Beth that he can't help her situation because of the guy's night. She was just as confused as we were when she heard that her father was spending time with her husband. We call it a prank.
This is the latest episode of Rick and Morty Season 5, which uses the title of the movie to suggest the plot. And I am guessing that Morty and Summer's joyride will be as twisted and perverse as only the Rick and Morty script-writing room could come up with. This follows the incident in "Rick Depends Spray" where an alien sperm race was created because of Morty's interest in Beth's workplace technology.
And are we now heading toward another kind of chaos, a moment when Morty finally says "enough is enough"? If history repeats itself, it will happen in episode 5 or 10.
