We have obtained some pretty compelling information about what colors Samsung is planning for the Galaxy S21 FE. The source appears to be Samsung's own marketing materials.
Android Headlines pasted an image that looks very similar to Samsung's official marketing materials for the upcoming Galaxy S21 FE, a cheaper version of the Galaxy S21 flagship that was introduced earlier this year. In this image, four different models can clearly be seen: gray, light green, light violet, and white.
The source of the image is not disclosed in the report, but it is not unheard of for a cell phone manufacturer's marketing materials to appear on the Internet well before a product launch. Nevertheless, in the absence of a source, any reports of unannounced smartphone features should be taken with a grain of salt.
The four colors depicted here are consistent with most of the previous rumors we have heard about Samsung's new FE model. (With one exception, some reports claim that there will be a pink Galaxy S21 FE, but there is no evidence of that here.) Incidentally, the Galaxy S21 came out this spring in violet, pink, white, and gray variants.
The Galaxy S21 FE is expected to offer many of the same features found on the S21 phone, but at a lower price. For example, the Galaxy S21 FE will likely use the same Snapdragon 888 chipset as found in regular S21 models, and it would not be surprising to see a similarly fast refresh display. between the Galaxy S20 FE and last year's Samsung flagship. The biggest change is due to the materials Samsung uses - the S20 FE arrived using plastic instead of glass and metal - and the telephoto lens was not nearly as powerful.
Right now, the bigger question surrounding the Galaxy S21 FE is when this phone might arrive. Previous rumors suggested that it could be announced at Samsung's next Unpacked event this summer, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Recently, however, reports emerged that Samsung has suspended development of the S21 FE.
Android Headlines claims that the phone will appear in October, after an expected summer launch for Samsung's new foldable device.
