Love is in the air in Season 3 of "Virgin River," and this Netflix drama returns to continue the romance between nurse Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and bar owner and former Marine Jack (Martin Henderson). If you were worried about Jack's fate after he was shot in the bar in the Season 2 finale, you don't have to be. Jack is alive.
Virgin River is a quaint rural town in Northern California where Mel moves to start over after experiencing tragedy. But life in the small town is not as simple as she had hoped. She moves into a rustic cabin and comes into conflict with her boss, Doc Mullins (Tim Matheson). Then she meets the handsome and charming Jack, and things get even more complicated.
Mel and Jack danced around each other throughout the first season and tied the knot early in the second season, but their romance was put on hold when Jack tangled with his pregnant ex-girlfriend Charmaine. However, the romance was put on hold when Jack became entangled with his pregnant ex-lover Charmaine.
In Virgin River Season 3, Jack recovers and the search is on for the person who shot him. Mel continues to work at Doc's clinic. But there is more to come: funerals, fires, divorces, hurricanes, and a new romance.

Season 3 will consist of 10 episodes, all to be distributed simultaneously.
Streamers renewed the show in December 2020, just weeks after the second season premiered. Virgin River was extremely popular, overtaking The Crown in the Nielsen streaming rankings and even surpassing The Mandalorian at one point. The official trailer for Season 3 of [Virgin River] is on fire with baby fever. One townie advises Mel's Jack, "If you're smart, you'll give that woman a ring and start a family." But is he really ready to start a family? After all, he is still recovering from his shooting and his relationship with Mel is still fresh. Besides, his ex-girlfriend Charmaine is anxiously awaiting their twin babies.
Netflix also released a sneak peek clip from Virgin River Season 3 titled "Smashing Stuff." Jack and Mel discuss everything he has been through, noting that she has cried and screamed to deal with the bad things that have happened to her. But that is not Jack's style.
"Being emotional doesn't really work for me," Jack says. 'I end up breaking things.'

Virgin River Season 3 will feature several new faces. Zibby Allen ("The Flash," "Grey's Anatomy") is a new regular who plays Jack's sister Bree. Bree is a lawyer, smart, feisty, ballsy, and a lot of fun.
Stacey Farber ("Saving Hope," "Diggstown") is a regular as Tara Anderson, Lily's daughter. She helps Lily care for Baby Chloe, a child she tried to abandon.
