If you've ever dreamed of wirelessly charging your cell phone and earbuds at the same time while on the move, you need a more ambitious goal in life. But fortunately, there is a product out there right now that can make your wish come true.
That product is Zens' $70/70 lb. dual power bank, a charger that can be placed between your iPhone and AirPods case to charge both at the same time. It can also stand on a foldable stand so you can charge while looking at the screen.
This setup works with two devices that can be charged wirelessly. However, one side has a magnetic connector, so it is clearly targeted at iPhone 12 owners with MagSafe connectors.
The maximum power output of the dual power bank is 7.5W. This is not as fast as the 15W obtained from the official MagSafe charger, but it is consistently fast for all devices that support the Qi charging standard.
At 4,000 mAh, the power bank is smaller than most modern cell phone batteries. Still, even the iPhone 12 Pro Max can be charged from 0-100%.
Of course, if the iPhone supported reverse wireless charging like the Samsung Galaxy S21 and other major Android phones, this strange power bank would not have been necessary. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be in the cards. iPhone 13 rumors make no mention of Apple adding reverse wireless charging to its next phone, which is expected to arrive this September.
If you think dual power banks are more of a gimmick than a practical product, you might be more interested in Zens' other new product series.
The £50/$50 Magnetic Single Power Bank is identical except for the lack of a second charging surface and stand, which makes it less expensive; the £60/$60 Magnetic Single Power Bank (with stand) adds a kickstand and is portrait It can now be charged both in portrait and landscape orientation.
