It's almost Father's Day and the Paramount Network has yet to announce the release date for "Yellowstone" Season 4. What's going on?
You're not alone in wondering why a release date for Yellowstone Season 4 hasn't been set; a Reddit fan has discovered that Yellowstone is not listed on the Paramount Network schedule for June 20, which is Father's Day this year. They discovered. All three previous seasons of Yellowstone have premiered in June, either before or after Father's Day (since it is the ultimate father show). It wasn't much of a leap to think that Season 4 would follow suit.
The lack of a premiere date is particularly puzzling since filming wrapped last November; CinemaBlend investigated and found that additional scenes may be shot this week.
CinemaBlend discovered a Facebook account used to hire extras for the show; on May 25, Yellowstone Montana Extras "will be back in June for two days of filming!" shared a post! This is the protest scene we had to cancel last year due to snow."
The post listed the shooting dates as June 10 and June 11. Extras will play protesters of all ages, press, SWAT and FBI agents.
The scenes must be really important for creator Taylor Sheridan to resume filming seven months after the wrap. Especially if a major cast member like Kevin Costner, who stars in the film, is involved.
What is this protest about? It could be related to Dutton's control over vast tracts of land. Or perhaps Yellowstone is embracing the racial injustice activities seen in the real world last year.
And if the additional filming is limited to just one scene and is shot over two days, there is a small chance that it will be edited into the show immediately and "Yellowstone" Season 4 will premiere on Father's Day. Otherwise, fans may have to wait until the fall to learn the fate of the multiple Dutton families.
In the meantime, you can watch "Yellowstone" seasons 1-3 on Peacock.
