Apple MacBook Air leaks continue to come in, and the latest information reveals Apple's plans for its next design Apple MacBook Air leaks continue to come in, and the latest information reveals Apple's plans for its next model design. The latest information reveals that Apple is planning the design of the next model.
Jon Prosser's latest installment of Front Page Tech delves into the MacBook Air redesign. If you were looking forward to sprucing up your desk, note that it won't extend to the keyboard or bezel; Prosser's sources say that both of these features will be pure white.
Prosser notes that the bezel size in the rendered image is an estimate and could be thinner or thicker than in the photo. Therefore, if you are not a fan of white detail, be prepared to be disappointed.
Another noticeable design change is the abandonment of the wedge shape in favor of a blocky rectangle. Apple's MacBooks have long featured a distinctive sloping angle, but the new form factor is reminiscent of the crisper lines of the iPhone 12. Personally, I think the new look is an improvement over the old design, but diehard fans may be disappointed.
In addition, the MacBook will have some other revamped feet. Apple will reportedly replace the circular rubber feet with two strips positioned closer to the edge of the device; Prosser also noted that the keyboard's function keys will likely be full-sized, rather than the reduced keys of the past.
Prosser has a mixed track record when it comes to Apple leaks, raising eyebrows at the accuracy of some of his predictions. Since this rendering is based on product photos shared by his sources, it is expected to look like this when it is finally unveiled, unless Apple makes a 180-degree change in the MacBook's design.
