WhatsApp is significantly expanding its functionality. While many people use the Facebook-owned application to send and receive text messages, the newly added feature is targeted at people who create and send voice messages on Whatsapp.
Specifically, WhatsApp will add a review button that allows users to listen to recorded voice messages before sending them; according to WABetaInfo, this feature is not yet publicly available.
WhatsApp already offers such a feature, but according to WABetaInfo, it was quite difficult to use, requiring users to switch to various sections of the voice message in order to review it. Instead, WhatsApp adds a review button that lets you decide whether to discard or send the message.
This latest feature was previously added to WhatsApp voice messages. This feature is apparently being offered to beta testers.
A release date for this feature has not yet been set, but it will likely be available to both iOS and Android users in the near future. For WhatsApp users who rely on voice messaging, it has been a bit of a gamble to see how voice messages sound. Being able to determine if there are any problems, such as feedback or choppy audio, will make user communication much simpler.
WhatsApp has not yet revealed future plans for this option, but if they do introduce such a feature, it is likely that others will follow in the not-too-distant future. We will still have to wait in the pipeline to see what comes out when this feature is finally released and everyone can try it out.
