Nintendo hosted its Indie World Showcase, showcasing more than 20 indie titles coming to the Nintendo Switch. In addition to the surprises of upcoming releases, there were several big announcements that caught the attention of viewers. These included Night School's announcement of "Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals" and Konami's "Getsu Fuuma Den: Undying Moon."
A variety of games were shown at the presentation, and below is a list of all the games shown.
The sequel to Night School Studio's cult hit "Oxenfree" is an exciting new game in the same world as the original. Five years after the last game, the main character, Riley, returns to his hometown of Kamena. This time, Riley must find out what's causing all sorts of problems with the airwaves being broadcast around town; Lost Signals will be released on Switch later this year.
This is not a new game, but it is a 2D and 3D puzzle-platformer with a cult following, in which players will have to use their brains to explore a world teeming with life. In addition, there is "control over space and time."
Roll7's whimsical skateboarding series returns as "OlliOlli World" with a much larger playground than ever before. The familiar skateboarding action from previous installments of the series is still there, but this time the bar is raised higher with a larger environment, more skate spots, and plenty of other secrets to keep you on your toes. The game is scheduled for release this winter, but no specific date has been set at this time.
DigixArt takes to the road with a story-centric adventure game that challenges the road movie genre. There are thousands of different story branches to navigate through a variety of unique storylines. Your choices will cause different characters to cross your path, and your story itself will change as you progress through Road 96. When the game debuts later this year, you can embark on your own unique road trip.
This JRPG is all about controlling time as it shows specific scenes from the past, present, and future. An homage to role-playing games of the past, its hand-drawn art style is beautiful and lovely, and it has finally completed its development phase in preparation for a summer release on July 20.
The cult favorite rail shooter will make its triumphant return for Nintendo Switch later this year. It features improved graphics, additional gameplay challenges, and multiplayer action that can be enjoyed with others.
