The set of "Thor: Thunder of Love and Sorrow" is shaping up to be the ultimate escapist experience, as evidenced by the latest set photos. Why wouldn't it be: the Covid-19 pandemic is basically being handled in Australia (where production is taking place), and director Taika Waititi appears to be one of the coolest bosses ever.
No, this is not a leak or an official shot provided by Disney, but from the Instgram account of "Thor: Love and Thunder" co-writer Jennifer Katyn Robinson (Someone Great).
Robinson's caption reads, "Best adventure of my life - thanks to the native Australians for sharing a bit of your land.
The cast and crew in this photo include Waititi, who is wearing a backwards hat and holding up two middle fingers. There is also a very chilling shot of the Valkyrie herself (Tessa Thompson) with her arm around Robinson's shoulders.
In other parts of this post, you can see all the chill vibes in the world, from kangaroos lying down, kangaroos doing their best live, and some sunsets.
We've known for a while that the atmosphere on set would be on the cool side, but that was mostly based on guesswork. The frequent news of surprise cameos by actors we never expected to see in the film was a delight.
"Thor: Love and Thunder" (also known as "Thor 4") is scheduled for release on May 6, 2022 and will tell the story of Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) as the new Thor. The Guardians of the Galaxy (including Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista) are also expected to appear. And they will need this much team to stop the villain Goal the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who is angry with the gods for not protecting his family.
