The new iPad Mini 6 design has just leaked, with few bezels

Apple's iPad mini 6 is expected to arrive this year, and leaks from the supply chain suggest that the next version of Apple's smaller tablet will feature a larger screen. And new renderings released this week further reveal what we might expect from the next iPad mini.

Accessory maker Pigtou has released a photo and video of a 3D printed model of a prototype of the upcoming iPad mini 6 5G, obtained by David, a known @xleaks leaker.

The size of the tablet appears to be largely unchanged, but by trimming down the bezel, Apple's upcoming iPad mini 6 may offer significantly more screen space than the current iPad mini's 7.9-inch display Pigtou has photographed prototype model also has an indentation under the screen, which Pigtou notes suggests that the next iPad mini will have a Touch ID home button (as previous models have).

The iPad mini 6 is already expected to be closer to the $399 to $499 price range of the previous model, and the leaked prototype model gives little reason to expect a significant price change when the product hits store shelves.

While leaked renderings should always be taken with a grain of salt, it is not uncommon for accessory makers to get early hints about the size and shape of a device so that they can have accessories ready when the product is finished.

The fact that the rendered images have emerged now may be evidence that the iPad mini's ship date is approaching. Many observers expect Apple's April event to take place soon, with the new iPad taking center stage. Nevertheless, we believe it is far more likely that Apple will focus on the new iPad Pro 2021 rather than the iPad mini.

Apart from thinner bezels and a larger screen, the iPad mini 6 is expected to feature an upgraded A13 processor and a display that will likely use mini LED technology instead of an OLED panel.
