The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro may be two of the most leaked phones of all time, and it appears that the first "official" images of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro have also leaked.
This is all from reliable leaker Ishan Agarwal, who tweeted a simple rendering, then tweeted an "official poster" showing the two phones - plus what appears to be a press shot of the OnePlus 9 Pro.
Agarwal listed the OnePlus 9 colors as Stellar Black, Arctic Sky, and Winter Mist; the OnePlus 9 Pro is reportedly available in Astral Black, Morning Mist, and Pine Green.
The OnePlus 9 Pro certainly appears to have a curved screen, but there isn't much we haven't already seen in previous leaks. Previous leaks contradicted each other regarding whether the premium model's display would be flat or curved.
As Agarwal also noted, the standard OnePlus 9 has no visible antenna on the frame. This may be an indication that the frame is made of plastic. This is because it does not block the purely internal antenna as a metal frame would. In fact, images of the OnePlus 9 Pro clearly show the antenna bands on the shiny frame, suggesting that the more expensive phone is made of something more durable.
If the OnePlus 9 uses plastic instead, a stronger metal frame would be just one of several advantages the OnePlus 9 Pro would have over the standard model. The Hasselblad-branded rear camera array will also add a telephoto lens, and another leak from Agarwal suggests that the OnePlus 9 Pro will support 50W wireless charging. This would make wireless charging faster than Samsung's Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Is there more to know about these phones, we will find out on March 23 when OnePlus announces the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9R along with the new OnePlus Watch.
