If you're looking for a mid-range phone focused on gaming and photography, the rumored Nokia G10 may be launching with the features you're looking for.
Insider information shared with NokiaPowerUser has revealed specs that include a Snapdragon 775 chipset, a large 108MP camera, and four other rear sensors. And Nokia may be preparing to launch it on April 8.
The 108MP camera has the same resolution as the one on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, one of the best camera phones we have ever tested. While a sensor alone is not enough to take great pictures, a camera of this size would give this phone a great start.
The Snapdragon 775 is the tentative name for the successor to the Snapdragon 765G, which was used in many mid-range smartphones last year. It will not be on the same level in terms of raw performance as the Snapdragon 888 chip in popular flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S21. However, it should still provide enough power for most users and support 5G.
The name is expected to be the Nokia G10, not simply 10 in the style of Nokia's other numbered phones. That may be because the phone will be focused on gaming. Other rumors include a 6.5-inch 120Hz display with QHD resolution and a large 5,000mAh battery.
These details are only rumors, but what we do know is that Nokia is preparing for a launch on April 8 at 10 am EST/3 pm GMT. This was announced by Nokia's parent company, HMD Global, on its website, but it is not yet clear what will be announced. However, it seems quite likely that it will be the G10.
The Nokia 9 PureView, announced in 2019, debuted an amazing five-camera array on the back and other flagship-worthy specs. Unfortunately, the total package of this phone was not substantial enough. The recently launched mid-range Nokia 8.3 5G is similar. We are excited to see if Nokia's new phone matches the rumors and if these improvements are enough to land the device on our best Android phones list.
