Oppo's new Find X3 Pro flagship smartphone will be officially unveiled next week, but there's no need to wait until the March 11 event.
Leaker Evan Blass followed up the first look at the Oppo Find X3 with more photos and video showing Oppo's next phone. And that is not even the most surprising thing about the Find X3. Rather, it's that this could be one of the best Android phones of the year.
OPPO's phone has attractive features like the Snapdragon 888 5G, the most powerful system-on-chip Qualcomm has to offer. This is the same chipset as the Galaxy S21 family (but only if you are using the US version of the phone, not Samsung's own Exynos 2100). But there are a few other features that make this Oppo product truly great.
The Find X3 Pro promises several different goodies that we haven't seen elsewhere. First, end-to-end 10-bit color processing is a huge boon for wide color gamut (WCG) photography; OnePlus and Asus also have 10-bit panels, but Oppo is the first phone maker to announce the ability to enable end-to-end WCG photography.
The Full-path Color Management System fully supports the DCI-P3 wide color gamut and 10-bit color depth in capture, display, and storage. It also supports HEIF (High Efficiency Image Format) and aims to provide an "outstanding viewing experience" through "authentic and accurate color reproduction.
To create these stunning pictures, FX3P will also be packing a "crater" of quad cameras. Among these cameras is a macro lens with an impressive 25x zoom and flash. This apparently functions as a portable microscope, which could lead to new uses for smartphones.
The FindX3 itself has a sleek, glossy design, with a small punch hole in the upper left corner of the phone for the front-facing camera. There are no physical buttons on the front of the phone; everything is screen. It is the back that looks a bit different from other phones we have seen on the market. The camera is square and has three lenses that boast the aforementioned technology. It also appears to be available in two colors, soft black and steel blue.
According to Blass, the full reveal of the OPPO Find X3 Pro flagship will be on March 11. And these rendered images and accompanying videos certainly tell a story we can't wait to see unfold.
