We love the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, but at $2,000, you need to be pretty wealthy or pretty sure before you buy.
Samsung clearly recognizes this and is offering a risk-free 100-day trial of its flagship foldable phone through April 1. The policy, which also applies to the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Flip 5G phones, allows for a full refund within 100 days of delivery, rather than the two weeks normally obtained from retailers.
This is a great way for Samsung to allow people to try out the brave new foldable world without committing to a purchase.
Of course, the device must be paid for up front. You also need to set up a calendar reminder if you want to return the device within 100 days.
For now, this promotion only applies to US customers, but on the plus side, Samsung is also offering free express delivery.
Samsung is also offering several other deals when purchasing any of the phones mentioned above. First, you can trade in your old phone for up to $550 off the Galaxy Z Fold 2 for $1999 and the Galaxy Z Flip / Flip 5G for $1099/$1199.
And don't worry if your old phone has a cracked screen. The trade-in value depends on the model you trade in, so an Apple iPhone 12 with a cracked screen will only get $375.
Oh, and you also get an immediate $200 credit toward accessories for your brand new foldable.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Z Flip 5G are the best folding phones available today, at least until the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes out.
In our review of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, we were impressed with its huge cover display, more durable design, innovative flex mode, and overall performance.
This premium-quality foldable features a 7.6-inch 120 Hz main display and 6.2-inch 60 Hz cover display, Snapdragon 865 Plus CPU, 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, 10-hour battery life, and three rear camera lenses. In fact, the only thing I don't like about the Galaxy Fold 2 is that it is not waterproof.
Also, as noted in our review of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, we like its sleek yet compact design (when folded), powerful CPU, and somewhat affordable price for a foldable phone.
Whichever you choose, it would be a great way to try out your first foldable phone - so Samsung's offer above seems worth a look.
