Apple's AirTags appear to be well on their way to a March debut, but not much else may be revealed at Apple's spring event.

While many products have been rumored for Apple's event, which will likely take place next month, the latest leaks indicate that only AirTags and some new iPads will be shown off on stage.

According to a tweet from Front Page Tech leaker Jon Prosser, the new iMac and AirPods, which were also rumored to debut, are no longer on the schedule.

As for iPad models, we are looking at the new iPad Pro, which will likely feature a new mini LED display and a new A14-based chipset. There could also be a 9th generation basic iPad with a new 10.5" display and revamped chipset.

Apple has not updated either the entry-level AirPods or the AirPods Pro since 2019, so a new generation of both feels imminent; the AirPods 3 is expected to gain a more secure in-ear tip, the AirPods Lite or possibly renamed AirPods SE.

Meanwhile, the AirPods Pro 2 may lose the iconic stem and become more like a traditional wireless earphone. Otherwise, it appears that all of the original version's features will be retained, including its excellent active noise canceling capabilities.

The iMac, the all-in-one computer, has gone without an update for even longer, with the current model having been on sale since 2014; the first of two major changes is a redesign, which may make the iMac look like the Pro Display XDR.

The other upgrade is the processor; Apple is expected to put a new Apple Silicon chip in the iMac 2021 instead of the usual Intel processor. This could be the same M1 found in the latest MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, or it could be a new silicon designed specifically for desktops.

Apple's iPad already occupies several places on our best tablets list, and no doubt the new generation iPad and iPad Pro will as well. And while Apple has yet to enter the best key finder rankings, AirTags should at least put up a good fight against the likes of Tile and its rivals.
