The first trailer for Mortal Kombat. And Goro. This trailer is a red band trailer and not for children.

"Mortal Kombat" will be released on April 16th on HBO Max. In the unlikely event that there is a leaked Russian trailer that is not in this trailer, we will keep a copy on hand for as long as it remains online. Click the play button below and "Get over here!" and shout "Come here!

The video shows Sub-Zero hunting furiously, ripping off limbs in an attempt to catch Cole Young (a character created for the film). After his chilling move, we see Scorpion going for the kill with his flying spear.

As for the leaked Russian clip below, from Redditor u/holy_writer00,

some sharp-eyed Redditor u/LordNoituac666 pointed out that Noob Saibot and Reptile were hidden in the trailer He pointed out that Noob Saibot and Reptile were hidden Easter eggs in the trailer.

Much of the dialogue of the characters, including Sonia Blade and Louis Kang, is dubbed in Russian, but it is not necessary to speak Russian to get the point.

Raiden also appears, and there is a lot of chasing and fighting.

"Mortal Kombat" is just the latest in HBO Max's sprint of big-name films that have hit streaming services along with limited theatrical releases. Most recently, HBO Max released "Judas and the Black Messiah," which has already been nominated for prestigious awards.

I don't know if "Mortal Kombat" will receive similar recognition. But it looks interesting.
