What a complex web we weave when watching Spider-Man movies online. It's as complex as the multiverse Spider-Man found in No Way Home.
Fortunately, a more positive change has recently occurred, with five more Spider-Man movies available on Disney Plus, in addition to the four MCU films already starring Tom Holland's Peter Parker. Disney Plus, Disney's digital hub, is one of the best streaming services available.
At least, it might feel that way, since it's where you can watch Marvel movies in order and Star Wars movies. However, most of the Spider-Man films span Disney Plus and Starz, as the control of the Spider-Man films is split between Disney and Sony. A few films, however, live in different territories.
What is interesting about the timeline of the Spider-Man films is that the multiverse happens with each series overlapping. So let's break them all down.
First, the Spider-Man trilogy, directed by Sam Raimi, started it all. Thankfully, they are all available now on Disney Plus and appeared on Netflix as part of Netflix's top seven new movies, which received over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes on June 1, 2023.
Then there are two chapters of Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man saga, each taking place in its own section of the Multiverse.
Then there is the modern Spider-Man era, which spans the Disney-owned MCU films and the Sony-owned Spider-Man films. This is known as the Tom Holland era and begins with Captain America: Civil War. It is tied to the Venom and Morbius films, each of which appears to be in its own multiverse.
