One of the best PS5 games is finally coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S

Stray, one of the PS5's biggest hits last summer and one of the PS5's most popular games, is now available on the Xbox.

Stray briefly took the Internet by storm last year when PS5 and PC-owning pet lovers shared videos of bewitching cats and dogs gazing intently at the indie game hit on TVs around the world.

And now, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S players will finally be able to join in the feline fun with the news that Stray is headed to Microsoft's console. The announcement was made at the Annapurna Interactive Showcase, where BlueTwelve Studio's charming feline adventure will launch on the Xbox platform on August 10.

Equal parts bizarre and endearing, "Stray" is one of the best games on the PS5's PlayStation Plus Extras service, and while it's short enough to get you through the difficulty in under three hours, it remains engaging throughout its brief play time.

Originally called the "HK Project," "Stray" was in development for seven years before it was released last summer on PS5 and PC. Within a few minutes of playing this labor of love, it is clear why it took the small team at BlueTwelve so long to produce it.

In 30 years of playing video games, I have never seen such a believable depiction of animal movement. The "strays" in motion are exceptional.

While the slightly absurd appeal of playing a cat is clearly the game's big hook, there is more to "Stray" than tabby candy. A strange mix of puzzle and platforming, this indie adventure has you roaming the underground streets of a dystopian city. Naturally.

I can't adequately express how much I love "Stray"; I was hooked on this game when it launched on PS5. I even earned the platinum trophy within a week of its release.

I unlocked Sony's knick-knacks by sitting on the robot's lap, riding an impromptu elevator made out of buckets, and running away from little beasts that looked like they were pulled straight out of the awesome Ravenholm section of Half-Life 2.

Enjoy the ride, Xbox players. Don't take my word for it. My Husky is just as obsessed with "Stray" as I am...

I can't think of a better game to recommend to anyone who loves their feline friends even a little bit.
