In this bleak historical drama set in World War II, Liam Neeson plays Oskar Schindler, a Nazi who dreams of riches in Krakow. By doing so, they can prolong and save their lives, unbeknownst to the Nazi regime.

Together they cut through dangerous games of survival, black market deals, and more in order to save Jewish lives from the brutal Amon Gess (Ralph Fiennes). Schindler's transformation from cold-hearted Nazi to eventual savior is something to behold, even if the film is difficult and bleak.

The odds seem stacked against Escalante. But even as the students seem to fight Escalante thoroughly, the furthest thing from education, Escalante eventually finds a way to turn the students' lives around in ways that go beyond academia.
