As the first trailer teases, things are "bigger" and "worse" in "Reacher" Season 2: [Reacher] Season 2 stars Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, a former U.S. military police officer.
The new season of "Reacher" will feature many fresh faces, as the protagonist is a self-proclaimed vagabond and tends to wander quite often. Along with Richeson, Maria Sten returns as her former colleague Frances Neagley. The rest of the cast, however, is completely new. [Previously, Rory Cochran, of "Empire Records," "Dazed and Confused" and "CSI: Miami" fame, was set to play Shane Langston, but he dropped out due to scheduling conflicts and was replaced by Robert Patrick of "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day) will play the role instead.
In addition, the series has also lined up an impressive list of guest stars:
The last time we saw Reacher off, he was framed for murder and involved in a conspiracy that was spreading in the town of Margrave, Georgia. Richardson previously played the DC Comics hero Hawk, and as this character he uses his Batman-like deductive and combat skills to untangle a wide-ranging web of murders involving corrupt cops, corrupt politicians, and a prominent business owner and counterfeiter, members of his organization, and Reacher's own brother ...
Finally, having exposed Kleiner Jr. as the mastermind behind the operation and avenging his brother's death, Reacher sets the Kleiner factory (and KJ himself) on fire and is literally engulfed in flames before hitchhiking out of town. As for Season 2 of [Reacher], it will be based on the 11th film in Childs' "Reacher" series, Bad Luck and Trouble. While the adaptation tends to deviate a bit from the original, jumping from the first to the eleventh chapter of the characters' stories, the novel will serve as an interesting foundation for the next season of the hit series on Prime Video.
In the story, Reacher becomes embroiled in a conspiracy in which former military personnel (many of whom are old friends of his) are hunted down and killed one by one. According to casting information, Reacher has quite a list of friends to avenge, and we can expect more of the explosive action that the show is known for.
