The Australian Open Livestream 2021 is underway. The first Grand Slam tournament of the year will bring together some of the world's top tennis stars, including Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.
For American viewers, the first matches of the 2021 Australian Open kicked off after the Super Bowl on Sunday night due to the 16-hour time difference. Matches will continue for two weeks until the women's final on February 20 and the men's final on February 22.
The 2021 Australian Open adheres to health and sanitation guidelines in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The tournament welcomes spectators as Australia has put in place effective response measures to largely contain COVID-19. Athletes have been quarantined for two weeks prior to the tournament.
Some of the biggest stars in tennis are competing, including Williams. This would tie Margaret Court for the record. She will have to surpass last year's U.S. Open champion Naomi Osaka and top seed Ashleigh Barty, who returned to play after missing most of 2020 due to a pandemic.
On the men's side, top seed Novak Djokovic will be looking for his ninth Australian Open title. Also, second-seeded Rafael Nadal will pass Roger Federer in terms of total wins if he reaches his 21st Grand Slam (Federer is out of action due to surgery).
