If you're looking for a place to buy a PS5, this could be your lucky week. Sony seems to be sporadically releasing restocks of the PS5 on its own online store, so as long as you're sharp, your chance to get your hands on the elusive console may be coming soon.
Sony Direct had the PS5 in stock yesterday, but a virtual line formed and it sold out in less than 30 minutes. Today is a new day and it is beginning to look like PS5 inventory is catching up to unprecedented demand. Of course, we still need to beat the duffers, but the odds of a successful checkout should be improving.
Don't forget to check back often for PS5 restocking so that you can check out at a higher rate. Get in line as soon as the Sony Direct line starts. Keep the sound on in your browser so that a chime will sound to indicate that you are at the front of the line and that you have already set up your Sony PSN account for a speedy checkout.
While getting in line does not guarantee that you will get a PS5 in your cart - shoppers are randomly chosen to be at the front of the line - don't be disappointed if the restock from Sony Direct ends before you get yours.
Again, we have noticed that retailers are restocking the PS5 with increasing frequency. In the past, inventory has been available on Tuesdays and Fridays.
As you know, Sony Direct is not the only way to purchase the PS5. Many online retailers have inventory available here and there. One PS5 inventory insider believes that millions more consoles will be in stores by April. Who knows, you could be one of the first lucky users to notice the PS5 restocking.
