The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED tilts 9.5 degrees this year, a feature that Asus' wild ScreenPad Plus, a huge secondary display that sits above the keyboard. And from the latest photos from CES 2021, this tilt feature is something Asus should have done all along.

Previous ZenBook Duo laptops had this large screen lying flat on the deck, but looking at the new model, we can't imagine it any other way. In addition, Asus has increased the brightness of the ScreenPad Plus to 400 nits for better visibility.

The ZenBook Pro Duo 15's dual-screen design may seem like a gimmick or a novelty, but this is the kind of thing companies bring up for headlines, it is CES 2021 after all, and Asus has noted that one out of five ZenBooks sold in 2020 It noted that one in five ZenBooks sold in 2020 was a Duo.

Asus' new ScreenPad Plus panel has an additional trick up its sleeve. It is built around the Screen Xpert 2 tool, which introduces a new feature called Window Flick. A new ScreenPad Plus control panel has also been added to ScreenXpert 2 (and will be added to older Asus Duo laptops), making second screen customization even easier. Creative apps also have added touch-sensitive tools just for this window, which looks like an improved version of the MacBook's Touch Bar. Currently supported apps include major Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere, and After Effects; Asus is considering adding more built-in apps in the future.

Asus has stated that the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED will be available in North America in April 2021, but has not yet revealed pricing. We will update this page as soon as we know more details.

The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED's literal and figurative centerpiece is its 14-inch 4K ScreenPad Plus display, which emits up to 400 nits of brightness; Asus' ErgoLift hinge mechanism allows the panel to rotate to match the display, providing a significant benefits.

First, the screen is no longer hidden behind the keyboard, making the screen more visible. In addition, the laptop's cooling system takes advantage of the gap created by the tilted ScreenPad Plus, increasing overall cooling airflow by 36%.

Connectivity is also properly secured with dual Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports (up to 40 GBps, Power Delivery and DisplayPort support), USB-A port, HDMI 2.1, and headphone jack. HD display.

And while ScreenPad Plus is the centerpiece feature, the real star of the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582) is the 4K OLED HDR touchscreen; Asus is trying to make bezels disappear with this design, resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 93%. The panel's OLED technology features the strong colors, deep blacks, and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio expected of OLEDs, and Asus has obtained VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

For color quality assurance, there is also PANTONE Validated certification, which Asus rates as 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 spectrum. Also, in terms of eye care, TÜV Rheinland certification is becoming increasingly popular, meaning lower blue light levels.

The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED features the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 laptop GPU and runs on an 8-core Comet Lake 10th generation Intel i9-10980HK processor. It can be purchased with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe storage.

This is one of the first Nvidia Studio laptops to feature NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series laptop GPUs, specifically the GeForce RTX 3070. This means it features the second generation RTX architecture for GPU-accelerated ray tracing, artificial intelligence, and video encoding.

There is also the new ZenBook Duo 14, which - you guessed it - has a 14-inch screen. This panel is also PANTONE certified, but it is a 1080p anti-glare panel. The screen pad is 12.6 inches and tilts 7 degrees.

This model has an 11th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics with 2GB of dedicated memory, up to 1TB of SSD storage, and up to 32GB of RAM.

Like the Pro Duo 15 OLED, this model will be available for pre-order later this month (January 2021) in North America, although pricing is not yet known. But unlike its 15-inch big brother, we do have battery life numbers for the ZenBook Duo 14: Asus estimates it will last 17 hours on a single charge, based on MobileMark 2018. estimated to last 17 hours.

We are eager to get our hands on the ZenBook Pro Duo for review and see if its large secondary screen is worth the space it takes up on the keyboard. This unique design forces you to place your palms in front of the keyboard, as there is no wrist rest on the deck.
