Black Friday MacBook Deals 2020 - New MacBook Air M1 on Sale

This year's Black Friday brought us the best MacBook Black Friday deals ever. Of course, Apple's new updates to the 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air have helped make them even more affordable this holiday season. Available on a wide range of Apple laptops, we're seeing Amazon, Adorama, Best Buy and other sites competing for the best Black Friday deals.

Some of the best we've seen this Black Friday include a base model 2020 MacBook Air for $799 at BestBuy and a high-spec 2020 Macbook Air (Early 2020) for $1,099 at B&H Photo - an Intel-powered 2020 model - the best price ever - and a brand new MacBook Pro M1 at B&H Photo for $1,199, a discount of up to $200. Not only that, but the 16-inch MacBook Pro is also down $350.

A discount this large is unprecedented, and we expect more discounts to continue through Cyber Monday. Lucky for you, we are keeping an eye out for them here and will add whatever goodies we come across to this page, so keep checking back. We also have a few MacBook accessories that will help you complete your setup more cheaply.

The most affordable MacBook is the MacBook Air, a slim 13" ultra-portable. (See "MacBook Air vs. Pro: What's the Best MacBook?") Also, starting at $999, it is the cheapest Mac laptop Apple sells.

The MacBook Air is only available in the 13-inch size and boasts a 13.3-inch Retina display, up to a 4-core Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 2TB of storage The OLED Touch Bar found on the MacBook Pro is not included, but Touch ID for secure sign-on and authentication. It also weighs only 2.8 pounds, making it highly portable.

Last year, MacBook Air models were sold at a discount of $300, and there is no guarantee that similar discounts will not be offered in 2020.

The MacBook Pro is Apple's more powerful laptop and comes in two sizes. There is the ultra-portable 13-inch MacBook Pro model and the larger 16-inch MacBook Pro, which is often touted as a more professional laptop thanks to its larger size and more powerful components.

Built for portability, the 13-inch MacBook Pro weighs only 2.8 to 3.1 pounds (depending on model) and features a 13-inch Retina display, Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, up to 16GB memory, and up to 2 TB of SSD storage; Intel Iris Graphics and Touch Bar make it a very high-performance laptop.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro typically starts at $1,299 with a quad-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. Recent sales have dropped the price by more than $150, and similar discounts are expected for the holiday season.

The 16-inch model is more than just a larger screen; Apple calls the 16-inch MacBook the "ultimate pro," and its configuration with a Core i9 processor and AMD Radeon Pro graphics makes it a creative professional is surely one of the best laptops for creative professionals.

In addition to the 16-inch Retina display, the larger MacBook Pro features a Touch Bar and spacious Force Touch trackpad. It can be configured with up to 64 gigabytes of RAM and a whopping 8TB of storage.

And if you've been using a 15-inch MacBook Pro for years, the 16-inch model has the same sleek look as the 15-inch with a larger display. This means that although the screen size has changed, the dimensions of the standard MacBook Pro remain the same, so you can use whatever laptop bag, sleeve, or snap-on case you used with your other 15-inch MacBooks.

Black Friday doesn't technically begin until November 27, the day after Thanksgiving. However, with more competition than ever, this year's Black Friday sales are starting early, with some already having sales going on now. Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart are just a handful of retailers already offering Black Friday discounts.

Amazon and Best Buy are the two recommended stores to buy Apple products, but Black Friday discounts can also be expected from retailers such as Target, NewEgg, and B&H Photo. Additionally, people will not congregate outside physical stores after Thanksgiving due to the pandemic.
