Asus has announced the ROG Zephyrus Duo 15, a gaming laptop that packs two displays into a single clamshell chassis.

While many desktop PC gamers already know the joys of dual monitor setups, this new laptop from Asus, which will be available in June starting at $2,999, offers all the versatility this can offer with two built-in displays available.

The main 15.6-inch display will be a 4K or FHD panel, depending on what the customer chooses, and will be combined with a 14.1-inch touchscreen mounted on the top half of the bottom deck. This secondary screen can also be tilted upward, allowing users to view both screens simultaneously and improving airflow into the laptop. [All versions are powered by a 90 Wh battery that can be charged through the Thunderbolt 3 port, a versatile connector that can also be used for data transfer or to connect an additional display if two screens are not enough.

Asus has already shown us dual-screen laptops in the form of the Zenbook Duo and Zenbook Pro Duo, which, while strong performers, were not explicitly designed for gaming like the Zephyrus. [The obvious use for these dual screens is to open a game on the main display while opening a guide, chat app, or Twitch streaming setup on the secondary display. Asus is also using Techland's Dying Light 2, a game expansion platform apps for League of Legends, Fortnite, and CS:GO with the help of Overwolf, as well as developers to create custom game displays for Zephyrus, including Adobe for users who want to do more creative work on their laptops. In terms of specs, the cheapest $2,999 version uses one of Intel's new 10th generation H-series CPUs, specifically the Core i7-10875HCPU, with an FHD main display, 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and RTX 2070 Super GPU; raising the price to $3,499 brings 16GB and 1TB of RAM and storage, respectively, and upgrades the CPU to a Core i9-10980HK and the GPU to an RTX 2080 Super.

The top-of-the-line model, priced at $3,699.99, combines the advantages of the previous two models with the Core i9-10980HK, 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and RTX 2080 Super GPU, but replaces the FHD display with a 4K model.
