Fans have been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE to arrive, but it seems that this affordable iteration of the phone with flagship specs may not be so affordable after all.
The latest price leak is directly from Samsung, specifically from the electronics giant's Irish website; as spotted by GSM Arena, according to noted leaker Snoopy on Twitter, the Galaxy S21 FE sticks to the affordable roots of the line It may not.
According to Snoopy, Samsung's Irish website lists the S21 FE contingent at €769 for the 128GB model. This translates to $869; the 256GB model was listed for €839 ($948). According to Snoopy, these models will have 6GB and 8GB of RAM, respectively.
If this price is true and not just a listing error, it would significantly increase the price of the FE model, which has been positioned as a lower-priced version of the other Galaxy S flagships.
For example, the starting price for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE last year was $699. This is $300 less than the Galaxy S20's debut price and $100 less than the Galaxy S21.
Given that the standard S21 debut price is $799, the Galaxy S21 FE is seemingly priced higher, as inferred from the numbers listed on Samsung's Irish website. On the Vodafone Ireland website, the Galaxy S21 is currently priced at €699, a €50 discount from the regular price.
In other words, there are two possibilities: either the price of the Galaxy S21 FE will be very close to the price of the S21, or the temporarily indicated price was in error. As for the Galaxy S21 FE's specs, the current rumor is a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888, 6GB RAM, 32MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, 8MP telephoto The S21 is a good example of this. In any case, if the Galaxy S21 FE will be available in early January, it means we won't have to wait long to find out how much it will ultimately cost.
