Hopefully the Team USA vs Italy volleyball live stream will be different than the USA vs ROC match on Friday. Time for the next big match for the US side, but they must be worried about their health since they lost their biggest star player as well as their first loss at the Tokyo Olympics.
Indeed, the 25-20, 25-12, 25-19 losses were far from ideal. But the loss of Thompson, the team's leading scorer, was perhaps even more significant. The superstar apparently injured her ankle when she landed hard in the second frame. She was evaluated courtside during that frame and subsequently left the field.
Hopefully, she will be back by the quarterfinals. Thompson's value is immeasurable, especially after her 34 points against China.
Team USA has yet to win a gold medal in the 57-year history of Olympic volleyball competition.
Team USA's women's volleyball team is ranked No. 1 in the world, and its undefeated record in matches against the ROC was no great surprise.
Of the services needed for these matches, Peacock helps you watch the highlights at night, while Sling TV and Fubo TV help you catch the matches on tape delay. Logging in from the latter helps to watch the games live.
The Olympics are a global event and can be seen in almost every country on earth. However, if you are not in your home country and cannot watch Team USA vs. Team Italy at your usual service, or if you prefer to watch the games in your native language, you are not out of luck.
With a virtual private network, or VPN, you can pretend that you are surfing the web from your hometown (or anywhere else not hit by power outages) and access the same streaming services that you have already paid for VPNs are completely completely legal, inexpensive, and easy to use.
I'm not sure which VPN is right for me. After testing a variety of services, the best VPN overall is ExpressVPN. It offers great speed and excellent customer service. However, there are other VPN options out there.
The VPN is incredibly easy to use.
1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we have mentioned, ExpressVPN is our favorite.
2. select the location you want to connect to with the VPN app. For example, if you are in the US and want to see UK services, select UK from the list.
3. Sit back and enjoy the action. Go to your preferred website or streaming service and tune in.
This will be easy to watch live, at least in terms of playing time. The live stream of Team USA vs. Italy will air today (Sunday, August 1) at 10:05 p.m. ET, as NBCOlympics.com (the only place to watch this game live) requires a login. NBCSN will rebroadcast Monday night at 9 p.m. ET.
Of course, Peacock's nightly coverage will likely include updates.
NBCSN is part of the $35/month Sling TV Blue package, and Olympic watchers will want the Blue package, which also has NBC. Olympic channels are also available as an add-on for $11/month.
Sling is one of the best streaming services, along with the other services we recommend for Olympic viewing: Fubo TV has over 100 channels (more than Sling), including all of the above networks.
To watch all the competitions live, we recommend subscribing to Discovery Plus, which provides coverage of all Tokyo 2020 events.
Discovery is currently offering a free 3-day trial of this service, after which a full subscription is available for £6.99 per month or £29.99 per year. Additionally, the service is streamable on a number of devices, including Chromecast, Apple TV, Android TV, and apps for iOS and Android.
The BBC iPlayer used to be the go-to source for all Olympic coverage for people in the UK, but things have changed.
The BBC will not have a monopoly on Olympic coverage in the UK because the IOC has sold its major European broadcast rights to the Discovery Network. As a result, the BBC's coverage, while still good, is limited to no more than two live broadcasts at a time.
Americans abroad can use any service they like by logging in via a VPN such as ExpressVPN.
A block of "scheduled events" including beach volleyball, volleyball, and basketball is set for 8 pm on Sunday night, so a live stream of Team USA vs Italy could be on Sportsnet's SN1 or Sportsnet channel It appears to be.
It could also be on TSN (TSN1, TSN2, or TSN5), as there is Olympic coverage during that time slot.
CBC also shares Olympic coverage, so you may need to channel surf if you can't find it; TLN also airs some of the Olympics, but judging from their schedule, it will be on tape delay.
Again, Americans can use Peacock, Sling, Fubo, and other services by logging in via a VPN such as ExpressVPN.
