Samsung claims that the new Galaxy Book Pro keyboard uses a scissors mechanism to provide nearly 1mm quiet travel. The touchpad is designed to be a bit larger than the Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion touchpad, and Samsung claims to have a 15-inch Galaxy Book Pro touchpad 23% larger compared to its previous models.

Samsung said in a presentation that owners of galaxy Book Pro series laptops should expect up to 20 hours of video playback or 16 hours of standard use.

The Galaxy Book Pro also ships with Samsung's SmartThings app, which allows you to interface your laptop with SmartThings-compatible smarthome devices such as lights, appliances and thermostats.

Also, the 13-inch model of the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro can be configured for LTE support, but that will vary greatly depending on which region you are in and which carrier is available. At the time of launch, LTE support for the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro is not available in the U.S., putting a big damper on the product's promise to deliver "true mobile computing" - at least for now. The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro also supports Wi-Fi6 (Wi-Fi6E) and Bluetooth5.1.

While Samsung has gained a reputation for making high-quality smartphones and tablets, its laptops have made a big splash in the global market, appreciating the premium touch that Samsung has brought to Galaxy Chromebooks and how it has adapted its expensive design for more efficient everyday use with the Galaxy Chromebook2.
