The iPhone notch may remain as is, at least on models released this year. However, that does not mean that the iPhone 13's notch needs to remain the same size as the one Apple has had on all of its recent devices.

MacRumors has obtained a series of images from Greek repair provider iRepair showing three different iPhone 13 panels for the 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch displays, similar to the models included in the iPhone 12 that Apple released last fall. images were obtained. However, the notches in these images are smaller than what we have seen so far.

In addition to the smaller notch, the iPhone 13 earpiece appears to have been moved to the top bezel instead. Many iPhone users have been asking manufacturers to reduce the size of the notch as new versions of the iPhone hit the market, a severe change from Apple's general inclination over the years.

We have long expected the iPhone 13 notch to be smaller. Through various leaks and renderings, creators have hinted at (and hoped for) a slimmer notch or some other slight change that would make the iPhone's signature design feature less noticeable.

Most recently, prominent Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the Face ID component would be slimmed down in the future for new iPhone models. However, at least in this first leak, the repositioning was not part of the plan.

The notch has not changed since Apple introduced the iPhone X in 2017. According to Kuo, however, the impact will now extend beyond the notch. In fact, Apple reportedly plans to introduce a hole-punch display on some iPhone models in 2022, similar to Apple's competitors. Following that, the company may even introduce its first all-screen design iPhone in 2023.

As for the main phone design, the iPhone 13 (or whatever Apple will eventually call the new device) will feature many new options, including a newer A15 Bionic chip, improved cameras, and a 120Hz display on the Pro model It is rumored that.

Of course, all of this is just speculation, as Apple has yet to confirm anything about the iPhone 13. But there should be more leaks between now and the scheduled September release date.
