The hype for "The Boys" Season 3 has begun, as the next season of Amazon Prime Video's biggest TV show, "The Boys," is revealed in its entirety for the first time from the set of its filming.
The second season of the Prime Video series was so well-loved and obsessively watched that Amazon can't wait to get Season 3 online soon. And we can thank "The Boys" writer Eric Kripki for giving us our first glimpse of what is happening in the new season.
For starters, Kripki's photos reveal that someone is still in love with Homelander, as they reveal a giant golden Supe statue on the set.
The image is oddly framed, starting at the crotch of the Homelander statue and looking up. Nevertheless, given what we have learned about Homelander, it would be odd if this character were depicted in a more wholesome way.
Kripki revealed that production on season 3 of "The Boys" had begun late last month when he posted a selfie at the airport.
Of course, the entire gang is back on set as well. Karl Urban (Billy Butcher) posted a selfie on Instagram in costume. The caption thanked the production crew, saying, "We are taking every precaution to ensure our continued health and safety."
Erin Moriarty (as Starlight) and Jack Quaid (as Huey Campbell) posted identical selfies of the two, presumably on the set. Quaid's caption read, "Season 3 greetings, everyone! Chilly, but not cold at all."
Quaid's caption reads.
There have been no such social media posts from Antony Starr (Homelander), an actor who may be keeping secrets about the current state of Homelander.
Given that filming has just begun, it is unlikely that the show will return any sooner than the end of 2021.
