It appears that Samsung's Galaxy Watch 6 may include a fan-favorite design feature. One of the first renderings we have seen of Samsung's upcoming smartwatch reveals a rotating bezel surrounding the watch display.

The rendering comes from reputable tipster OnLeaks and was originally published by MySmartPrice. Based on what we've seen from previous Samsung leaks, the image seems like a pretty legitimate representation of what the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic might look like.

Last year, Samsung released the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, neither of which featured a rotating bezel. As a consolation to fans of the navigation feature, the company made the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic available for purchase.

The smartwatch in the image looks very similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The bezel is raised around the display and has tactile grooves on the edges. On the right side of the device are two buttons, as has become standard on Samsung watches.

While we cannot determine the size of the watch from the images, we do know that the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic came in 42mm and 46mm. These sizes are larger than those offered in the standard Galaxy Watch 4. Assuming that Samsung will launch two more watches this year, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is expected to be the larger option.

We had already speculated about the return of the rotating bezel, but the new renderings give us stronger reason to believe it will happen; some were disappointed that the Galaxy Watch 5 series would not have a bezel, including our colleagues.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro was proposed as an outdoor sports watch to compete with the Garmin watch and the Apple Watch Ultra. It seemed to lack the overall excitement that the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic garnered.

The return of the bezel is a smart move for Samsung's Galaxy Watch. After a year of bezel-less watches, fans of the feature will be excited to see its return.

Samsung's new smartwatch typically launches in August, but reports indicate that an Unpacked event will be held in July. Korean publication Chosun Ilbo and Germany's WinFuture say to mark your calendars for July 26 for a keynote featuring the Galaxy Watch 6 and Samsung's latest generation of foldable smartphones.
